Snow Day

Never ceases to amaze me when we get a little bit of snow here. Front page stories, panic in the streets, stores selling out of shovels and salt, bare milk counters ....

Geesh. It's just snow! This is just a good day in June where I come from.

We'll have much more on this story as it develops.

I always wonder where the hell all of the emergency purchased snow shovels that flew off of the shelves last year went?

Fred,

I think it's because most of them are pretty cheap and don't last that long. Also, lots of them get put into spring and fall garage sales by accident and purchased by wandering gypsies heading to Michigan. So there's always another run ....

I had a Craftsman snow shovel for ten years before it finally gave into being stressed and broke (the shovel blade was plastic). It was the best, greatest snow shovel I've ever used. All Craftsman stuff is lifetime guaranteed and I've been trying for three years to catch them in stock at Sears to get it replaced. In the meantime, I bought a wide one at Shopko and a narrower, sister one at Home Depot. They aren't the equal of the Craftsman, but I guarantee that I'll know where they are next year. I understand your explaination, but sheesh!

I didn't realize snow shovels could have sisters!

Yeah, there's a skinny sister and a fat sister; like most families.

Totally off comment!!!
I'm testing Ubuntu Christian as an operating system. I have found that it won't filter like I had feared. Now, mind you, I don;t frequent porn sites, but some filters will block you from a site for really minor infractions, and I didn't want to get into that. So I'm surfing around, and figured the worst blog, as far as content I read is Tookie's, so I went there and was able to read anything there. For CAtholics, there is a virtual rosary included, and the system comes equipped with Bible software too! Pretty neat!
