Beach Flood Bash

We are playing Friday, July 25 at the Oakley-Lindsay Center parking lot in a free four-band show to celebrate flood relief efforts.

No sand, thank goodness.

Raised On Radio and Fielder are the other confirmed bands, with one more TBA.

We'll have more info on the order and other stuff.

Heading to Springfield tonight for Gus, be back Sunday night with a report.

Hope the weather holds for the Blue Healers tonight at Washington Park. Be safe!

Rodney, its good to see the city doing something to thank the citizens for the flood support efforts, but why put it on the same night as Blues in the District...seems like a little slap in the face for the Blues Crowd....

I disagree.

First of all, both events are free. Pick one or the other. If you are a true blues fan, go to the park. If you are into local rock and roll bands, come to the OLC. If you are a fan of both, come to both!

Believe me, many dates were bounced around. There are a bunch of flood relief shows coming up, including one the very next day in Hannibal.

I give Rob Ebbing credit for working on the idea and putting it together.

Are the bands donating their services?

My band and Fielder and the soon to be named fourth band are donating services. I believe Raised On Radio is, as well.

RH very true that everything is free and they are back to back, however, my kids who love music, won't be able to enjoy the OLC due to the times.....if they would of the same times/different day as the Blues then families could go too....and I saw a lot of families bagging....

I don't like the captive audience idea of events at OLC. They control the food and drinks while you can take your own into Washington Park. The indoor bands don't sound good in that venue, hopefully weather will be good so it can be held outside. Might be a good place to write a few more seat belt tickets as well.
