I'm pretty sure if Rush bought the team Goodell would have to suspend him for abusing drugs. It doesn't matter really because the Rams are probably going to move back to LA.
Funny joke, but all downhill after that.
Follow along... If Rush teamed with Checketts, the NFL could not move out of STL.
That is why some STL Football fans would be glad to see this happen.
Bernie Miklasz and Jim Thomas are both reporting that Checketts has already made contact with the Rams and Goldman Sachs to begin preliminary talks.
This news is terrific if Checketts can make it happen. If Checketts were able to pull this off it would be terrific for the entire city of St. Louis because he would essentially lock the Rams into the market because of the exact rules that forbid Stan Kroenke from becoming majority owner. If he wanted to move the Rams he would have to either divest himself of the Blues or sell the Rams to make the move and I can't believe that Checketts or any group he is involved with would do such a thing.
Oh, I wasn't saying that a Limbaugh-Checketts group would move the team to LA. I've just got a bad feeling the FedEx guy will win out and head west come 2012
thats interesting about the cross-ownership rules though, I didn't know about that. I like how the NFL doesn't include MLS in the equation.
That game was a measure of how far the big ten has fallen. The Hawkeyes were spunky but Michigan teams don't lose the turnover war, to anybody, ever.
